The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the launch of the National Awareness Campaign for Domestic Umrah, featuring broad participation from governmental, private, and non-profit entities. The initiative aims to enhance awareness among domestic Umrah pilgrims—both citizens and residents within the Kingdom—regarding their rights and responsibilities, while introducing the diverse options available for performing Umrah through authorized channels, thereby enabling pilgrims to plan their journeys and select services tailored to their needs.
A wide range of government, service, and regulatory bodies are participating in the campaign, led by the Ministries of Hajj and Umrah, Interior, Foreign Affairs, Transport and Logistic Services, Commerce, Municipalities and Housing, and Health, alongside several authorities, regional emirates, and municipalities across various regions of the Kingdom.
The campaign is activated across social media platforms, news media outlets, official accounts of participating entities, and government applications. It utilizes visual, written, and audio content alongside multilingual awareness messages covering pilgrim rights, service requirements, and accredited channels, in addition to media coverage highlighting joint regulatory inspections and their operational outcomes.
This campaign forms part of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's ongoing efforts to facilitate year-round Umrah for citizens and residents and raise awareness of approved options through seamless integration with relevant entities—ultimately enhancing service quality and enriching the experience of the Guests of Allah, in line with the directives of the Wise Leadership—may Allah protect them—and the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
