About Umrah
It is the greatest and most honorable spot on Earth, the first House established for mankind, the destination of hearts, and the Qibla of Muslims. Allah Almighty distinguished it with security through the supplication of our Master Ibrahim (peace be upon him). From its vicinity, the first message of Islam was launched, and a single prayer within it is equivalent to 100,000 prayers elsewhere. Therefore, while visiting the Grand Mosque for Umrah or prayer, a Muslim must remember that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), his companions, and the followers (Tabi'un) preceded him there. This necessitates that an individual embodies complete humility before Allah, serenity, tranquility, and dignity in this sacred place.

Mawaqit:
Mawaqit is the plural of Miqat, which refers to a specific time or a designated deadline set for a particular matter. Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time (Miqat)." The term Miqat also applies to the specific geographical locations where an individual enters the state of Ihram for Hajj or Umrah. There are two types of Mawaqit: Temporal (Time-related) and Spatial (Location-related). Pilgrims or Umrah performers residing beyond these points and arriving by air must not bypass the Miqat (or the point parallel to it) without entering the state of Ihram. It is important to note that King Abdulaziz International Airport is neither a Miqat nor a place for entering Ihram.
